The Earth suffers all different types of natural disasters. We are going to look at a few types in detail, starting with Earthquakes. The inside of Earth is made up of lots of different layers. The outer layer sits on moving plates of rock called tectonic plates. These plates constantly smash into each other. When tectonic plates rub it can have a detrimental effect on the Earth’s surface. Earthquakes are measured on the Richter Scale. The higher it registers on the Richter Scale the worse the Earthquake.
